We do not have modern comparative material but we a reasonable amount of
material from our BA archaeological site on the hebrides, - at present I have a
student working on the dental aging, doing eruption, wear etc and x-raying.
At some point we will be tackling the post cranial material, at present we are
fairly secure in our identifications, but if there is any metrical information
on shaft diameter and age that may be of use. Scottish deer are however

Does anyone know of collections which have comparative specimens of
modern or fossil foetal and neonatal cervids - red deer, roe deer,
reindeer preferred. If yes, is the age at death known?
