yes, what you mentioned was my first thought, how these strange animals came
to austria..., unfortunately only the grave yard was discovered in a rescue
excavation and settling structures are still unknown around this new
site..., but the site is situated in the "Tullnerfeld" in Lower Austria
close to the danube, where the history of the roman legiones is quite
so the historical and theoretical ;-)) back ground can be "well" used for
such an argumentation.
originally i anxiously argued about the osteological peculiarities of the
horse skull, but after a extensive comparison with archaeolocial finds and
modern breeds this specimen remains "strange" and bear a resemblance to an
Alfred Galik, Mag. Dr.
