Dear All,
This is a request from my husband who is currently
starting to write up a site from north Yorkshire,
probably of medieval period date.
The bones haven't been looked at yet, but he is eager
to know what it all means! He described it to me as
about a fruit crate full of sheep bones (so a fair
chunk for the area excavated), all the same type of
thing, a bit less bent than the radius (I just
happened to have lying one around the house!).
I think the bones are likely to be metapodials. If so,
are there any references that he can look at to find
out more?
thanks
Charlie
