I've noted a couple of nice examples of sawn antler from an Iron Age /
Medieval site on the island of Lismore, Argyll. Unfortunately the site
has yet to be dated and is incompletely phased at the moment, but if you
like I could let you know when more information becomes available.

Subject: [ZOOARCH] Sawn Antler
Hi Zooarchers,
I currently have an assemblage of dubious date/stratigraphy from a site
in Ireland, which contains some pieces of sawn antler. I am trying to
find out how far back sawing of antler is likely to go, does anyone
have any information for Ireland or even for Britain/Northern Europe?
Thank you all
Fiona
