I have an HP 4700 running Windows Mobile 2003. This is one of the newer
PDA's with a 640x480 or 480x640 screen. Some Web pages can be viewed
OK, but the majority either don't display at all or are really hard to
navigate around.
Windows Mobile 2003 comes with a cut down version of Internet Explorer
v5.5, so sites that insist on the latest versions probably won't
display. There is a registry patch to fool the website into treating
the PDA as if it has a more uptodate browser, but its not a perfect
solution.
Websites like google, will automatically present you with an alternate
page more suitable for a PDA with smaller graphics and reduced fonts.
The PDA doesn't have a lot of memory compared to a normal PC system,
and virtual memory doesn't exist, so large documents won't display and
will probably crash the PDA.
Bye for now, John
