New dates announced for TASI digital imaging workshops
TASI (JISC's Technical Advisory Service for Images) is pleased to announce
4 new dates for our training programme:

** Image Capture – Intermediate
Thursday 10th March 2005, Bristol
In this workshop participants will explore the procedures of image capture
and optimisation, delivered through a range of practical activities. For
this workshop you should have a basic understanding of image capture.
**Image Capture – Advanced
Thursday 31st March 2005, Bristol
This workshop aims to develop an advanced theoretical understanding of
capturing digital images. For this workshop you should have a good
fundamental understanding of image capture and are now looking to deepen
your theoretical knowledge
**Colour Management for Digitalisation Projects
Wednesday 13th April 2005, Bristol
The objectives of this workshop are to introduce colour management theory
and 'good practice'. The workshop is aimed at technicians and project staff
involved in supporting high quality digital capture.
**Creating Quality Metadata for Digital Images
Thursday 14th April 2005, Bristol
This workshop aims to introduce and examine metadata creation through
explanation, discussion and practical activities. It is ideally suited to
project managers and digitisation project staff involved with the indexing
of images.
