Hi Helen,
Under the about us section of the Dana Centre website, www.danacentre.org.uk
is a section called event DIY. These documents were produced as part of an
18 month pilot programme of events prior to opening of the Dana Centre.
Although not specifically for teachers, they are meant for anyone organising
dialogue events, they do contain information on how to plan, run and
evaluate dialogue events. There's plenty of information on controversy in
events.
We can also send out copies to anyone who is interested.
Regards
Lisa

Subject: [PSCI-COM] Debating Controversial Issues in Science - search
for resources
I am looking for resources to support teachers (cross curriculum) debating
controversial science issues in the classroom.
I am particularly interested in easily accessible resources provided online
(e.g. Upd8) but also schemes (such as Researchers in Residence) that focus
in bringing external professionals in to the classroom.
Has someone already produced a comprehensive list?
Any ideas would be most welcome. If there isn't already a comprehensive
list I will summarise ideas and post them on the CitizenScience At-Bristol
website www.at-bristol.org.uk/cz
Many thanks
Helen Penny
