Hi all
Back from LA, where I did some readings and classes and had an all round
great time investigating Californian cuisine and the LA music scene and so
on - though I was continually defeated by the size of US food servings
(scary! how do you guys manage it?)
While I was away the Poetry Archive went officially on line - it's a British
site with an extensive set of recordings of poets reading their own work.
I'm not sure if it's already been posted here, so forgive me if it's old
news - The project was partly organised by Andrew Motion, but don't let that
put you off. Hey, I'm in there somewhere....if you look under C you can
download my dulcet tones (and see a rather old photograph - I haven't looked
like that since I was 25 and maybe not even then - but hey, who's to know
except those who know? I hasten to say that it's not my fault). It's at
http://www.poetryarchive.org/ for those interested -
Hope all is well with everyone
Alison
