Dear List Members

There are still a couple of places available for the Decision
Explorer/ Causal mapping workshop with Prof Fran Ackermann, on
Friday 02 December 05. This workshop will be held at the Castle
Green Hotel, in Kendal. Kendal is on the edge of the English Lake
District. The mainline station for Kendal is Oxenholme, The Lake
District. It is approximately 3 hours from London, 2 hours from
Glasgow and Edinburgh, 1.5 hours from Manchester. (Generally with a
service every hour from major UK cities to Oxenholme). The fee for
the day is 245 GBP plus VAT for academic participants and 345 GBP
plus VAT for non-academic participants.

Title: Advanced Decision Explorer Workshop.
Date: Friday 02 December 2005
Tutor: Prof. Fran Ackermann, University of Strathclyde
Location: Kendal, Cumbria. (mainline station is Oxenholme, The Lake
District)
Brief description: One day, hands-on workshop that will focus on
cognitive/ causal mapping and Decision Explorer and moving between
computer supported and paper based group decision support and
associated facilitation issues. Fran Ackermann is co-author of the
books: “Making Strategy”, “The Practice of Making Strategy” and,
most recently “Visible Thinking”. Some knowledge of Decision
Explorer is required so preparatory materials are sent out prior to
the workshop. This is a "bring your laptop" session, so you will
need access to a laptop for the afternoon sessions.

If you are interested in booking a place for this workshop please
let me know as soon as possible. Thank you.

Kind regards

Jenny Brightman
