CILIP Consultancy Services rebranded as CCS
New branding reflects new services and new benefits to the sector
CILIP Consultancy Services has re-branded as CCS. The brand reflects the new range of benefits offered by CCS to its clients.
"More and more often, clients are coming to CCS asking us to develop a programme of work that will see them through their project as a whole," says David Haynes, Business Manager of CCS. "This might start with user consultation, progress to policy development, and then to procurement advice, through to final implementation," he adds. "Whatever the project, the benefits for the client in having a single trusted team of consultants is clear in both time and cost. The new brand reflects our commitment to the client throughout the lifecycle of their project."
CCS's new services take into account major changes to the regulatory and legislative environment and the rapid development of new electronic information products and services which have substantially changed the way in which organizations manage and use their information resources. For instance, the Freedom of Information Act and the Children's Act have caused many organizations to review their records management policies and information handling processes.
Electronic resources are now an established part of information service provision, with more organisations subscribing to them and making databases available to all employees directly. CCS can establish requirements, products and help to implement electronic services.
CCS's range of associates - leaders in their chosen field and often authors of seminal texts - means that they can offer clients a team tailored to their specific needs.
CCS also welcomes a new member to the team: Leonard Latiff, who has worked across the museums, archives and libraries domains with specialist expertise in public sector ICT strategy, policy and process.
Other CCS services include: information compliance advice to local authorities, development of performance measures for electronic information services and advice on metadata use.
"The new services provide additional benefits to clients," David Haynes concludes. "We continue to offer help with library service reviews, information audits, taxonomy development and advice on records management"
