I'm extremely excited to see this topic broached on this listserv. I'm a
Teen Service Specialist, recently moved to the UK from the US (and to CILIP
from ALA), where I have experience both in serving teens and in training
library generalists to do the same. I'm not currently working in public
libraries, but I'm looking forward to seeing what sorts of services are
being made available, and would love to offer whatever help I can. I'm not
sure how well various service initiatives do or don't translate, but here
is a collection of resources from the American Library Association's Young
