I do have a problem with throwing things away. Profit for CILIP, at what cost to the environment?
I'd rather pay more in my subs than have to take even more junk to the recycling pod. Every week I take at least 2 carrier bags of paper and cardboard to the pod, and it's nearly all packaging waste and junk mail, which is appalling.

Definitely wouldn't have been as much debate. For me the thing is which
other product ranges/companies/services have been approached to do the
same? As if this is purely a financial move this won't be a one-off.
Making this assumption someone has made a decision on who to approach I'm
just curious what. Of course it might be that Smirnov, Anne Summers and
Club 18-30 were approached and just weren't interested, the lack of
something doesn't prove any bias of intent.
But I have no problem just throwing away things I'm not interested in and
if it's raising money for CILIP then so much the better.
