We have 24 hour access to our library by a combination of swipe card, and alarm code (for the whole education centre). This is not working too well as many users forget / can't be bothered / are unaware of the need to set the alarm correctly. This leaves the centre vulnerable and causes frequent false alarms.
I have undertaken to contact other libraries based within a centre to find out if anyone else uses a similar arrangement, and to find out how you have minimised these problems. Any ideas gratefully received. I am copying this to lis-medical and lihnn members so apologies to those of you who get the message twice.
Thanks
Sue
