The Multimedia Information and Technology Group (North West) is pleased to announce a one day conference entitled:
"Which shelves do you keep the e-journals on?":
How to effectively promote electronic library resources
Liverpool John Moores University, Wednesday 8th June 2005
In a response to delegate feedback, the Multimedia and Information Technology Group (North West), have organised a one day conference about promoting electronic library resources. The conference will address the issues surrounding the effective promotion and marketing of the vast array of electronic information resources, currently available to the library world.
The first part of the day will aim to demonstrate existing good practice in this particular field with speakers from the academic, health and public library sectors. The afternoon will allow an opportunity to find out about current research projects and findings within e-resources promotion. To end the conference, there will be a presentation from Professor Mark Stiles, an e-learning activist, who will talk about how e-libraries fit into learner-centred e-learning systems.
There will be a panel discussion and an opportunity to ask questions at the end of the presentations.
