** Collections of the Month: Join us for a spin around the new Hub! **
We've been making a lot of changes 'under the bonnet' to improve how the Hub
works, and we've been adding some new features as well - so let us (and
Gracie Fields) take you for a bit of a spin.

** Latest additions **
Additional descriptions from the University of St Andrews, the University of
Stirling, Greater Glasgow Health Board, the University of Dundee, the
University of Exeter, the School of Oriental and African Studies, and the
Borthwick Institute for Archives.
These include records of the Glasgow Homoeopathic Hospital for Children,
letters of scientist Sir David Brewster (1781-1868), and papers of dramatist
and novelist RF Delderfield (1912-1972).
** New contributors **
New descriptions from the Institute of Education, the University of Brighton
Design Archive, and Exeter University's Bill Douglas Centre for the History
of Cinema and Popular Culture.
These include papers of exhibition and museum designer James Gardner
(1907-1995), and papers of film director, producer and writer Don Boyd (born
1948).

** Archives Hub event **
The Archives Hub has now moved to a distributed version, where contributors
can become a Hub 'Spoke' and host their own data whilst continuing to
contribute to the Hub. We are holding an information day all about the
distributed Hub, and what is involved in becoming a Spoke, on Wednesday 19
October at the University of Manchester.

** Archives Hub stylesheet **
We have developed a stylesheet that you can use to preview your EAD records
in a Web browser. You can find out more about this, with step-by-step
instructions for previewing records created using the Hub template.

** Archives Hub and EAD **
We have been asked whether our contributors might be interested in
purchasing hard copies of the EAD Tag Library, as there is a proposal to
bring some over from the U.S. Obviously this is also available online at
http://www.loc.gov/ead/tglib/index.html, but sometimes it is preferable to
consult the physical object. If you are interested in purchasing a copy,
please could you let us know, so we can pass this on to the relevant people
(someone will contact you subsequently about placing an order)
