Dear Colleagues,
This year's 10th Annual ELSIN Conference is developing into what promises
to be a stimulating and exciting three-day programme at the School of
Management, University of Surrey, Guildford, 13-15th June 2005. Not only
have we two renowned keynote speakers - Dr Bill Lucas (The Talent
Foundation) and Dr Peter Honey ('The Manual of Learning Styles'), but we
have also received some cutting-edge and thought-provoking research
abstracts from across our international membership.
See: http://www.som.surrey.ac.uk/research/conferences/elsin.asp
Interest in the field of individual differences in learning and cognition
continues to grow and this year has sparked some thought-provoking ideas
including the topical areas of styles and e-learning, the nature of the
style construct, new approaches to measurement of styles, the application
of style to the design of learning and instruction, the impact of style
upon performance in the workplace, lecture hall and classroom and so
forth. Ground-breaking research in the field will be presented by our
delegates from around the world.
*Now it is time for you to register and be part of this year's Elsin
Conference exchange and help contribute to the on-going development of
research and scholarship in the field of learning styles.
Your registration form can be found on the site above; please fill it out
and return to me as soon as possible. Please note that the School of
Management is in an excellent location, has beautiful modern architecture
and its own a la carte 'Lakeside' restaurant and authentic 'Sorrento'
Italian coffee bar; we are conveniently located for London and its
airports (see http://www.som.surrey.ac.uk/about/lakeside/index.asp ) I
would also like to point out that University of Surrey on-campus
accommodation is limited so book early.
We look forward to hearing from you. Rebecca Weale.
