On the subject of feedback- for all those submitting under the new
regulations, you should receive feedback from your submission with
regards to how to proceed with revalidation e.g. if the assessors feel
there are particular areas/topics you may need to strengthen or gain
experience of when working towards revalidation.

Subject: Re: Board Meeting 9th November
I submitted in March/April 2005 and have not heard anything as yet.
CILIP were very polite in their responses to my emails, telling me the
date of the next meeting in February 2006 (although they did not
explicitly state that my submission would be discussed then..)
I do find it curious that submitted profolios are not apparently
considered in chronolgical order, with some from December and August
being approved, whilst others from April and August not.
If there are problems with individual portfolios, then I for one would
prefer to be informed rather than left in the dark discussing the issue
with others on a mailing list. Prehaps CILIP could do more to inform
candidates of the stage their application is at during its
consideration. Whislt CILIP is a professional organisation and not an
academic institution, it would be nice to see responses and feedback
along the lines of post graduate dissertation submissions, with greater
communciation from assessors..
Whilst I understand the constraints upon the volunteers on the committee
and their increased workload due to regualtion changes, I would
appreicate a greater degree of transparancy and communication throughout
the whole process from CILIP itself, especially given the fairly hefty
admin fee we had to cough up upon submission.
Prehaps someone from CILIP could provided us with some clarification on
this matter?
