Dear all
See messages below.
Would it be sensible to invite Sue Lacey Bryant to a meeting of the PCT Librarians Group?

Subject: Messsage from Sue Lacey Bryant
Dear All,
I am forwarding the message below on behalf of Sue Lacey Bryant. You will
remember the mesage from Alison Turner about the work which Sue is
undertaking on standards for services for primary care and public health. It
would be good if we could all support Sue in this work, so I would like to
encourage everyone to update Sue on what is happening locally and to help
her make contact with public health and primary care library staff in your
patches.
Many thanks
best wishes
Jane
"Dear All
One of the objectives of the Primary Care and Public Health Librarians
Support programme is to look at different approaches to service development,
identifying examples of best practice - and teasing out the factors that
prove critical to the success of each model.
I am looking to arrange a programme of visits around the country so that I
can learn about recent developments. I would love to hear from members of
LKDN, both to hear about current service provision in this sector and to
gain your help in linking into meetings and events for primary care and
public health librarians.
My role includes developing criteria for setting different levels of service
within primary care and public health (contributing to work on the NSDF),
leading on the development of a primary care current awareness service,
facilitating librarians working in this area to share good practice, helping
to highlight their professional development needs, and working in
partnership with library leads to promote to employing authorities the
contribution that librarians make to primary care and public health.
I look forward to hearing from you and recognise that, working on this
programme for just two days a week through until November 07, I will need to
plan well ahead...
Sue"
