Dear Juan,
Please check if you have gmdat-sensor-CE package installed, for example:
rpm -qa | grep gmdat-sensor-CE
This is a network monitoring tool, for bandwidth measurements.
It is possible, though unlikely, that bing hangs while listening for replies.
Are you sure that you are not filtering outgoing/incoming ICMP traffic? (if you
want to use that tool, ICMP traffic should be enabled at lest between SW
federation CEs).
Anyways, if such a situation occurs, you can safely kill all the bing processes.
Best regards,
Adam
