We certainly need to market ourselves.
Ask a trust manager which clinician can
1. Marry an open consulting style with
realistic biological education in a short time frame?
(Eg man discharged with lots of folk beliefs and anxieties post MI)
2. Make executive decisions in clinically complex cases?
(E.g. when to remove or avoid preventive prescriptions
how to balance mild renal dysfunction in a diabetic on Lithium)
I screen the patient "Discovery" interviews
here and now know the answer :-)
