GIS Technical Architect - £200-£350per day depending on experience -
London - 6 Months initially.
A Central Government body is currently seeking for a GIS Technical
Architect. You must have 3 years previous experience in developing
GIS/Internet solutions within a commercial environment. Your development
experience must be with the use of ESRI based solutions e.g. ArcGIS,
ArcIMS, ArcSDE. It would be beneficial if you had under took such projects
at Central or Local Government level before. Some of the Essential skills
required are Design and review of technical architecture, Enterprise GIS
implementation and integration using Orace, SQL Server and MS Access. Also
requires is a working knowledge of networking, TCP/IP, and Microsoft Server
platforms. The following requirements and skills would be beneficial but
not essential in your application. Commercial awareness, understanding and
experience of Government Standards, Experience of large scale bespoke
development builds and any or all of the following Java, HTML, and Active
Server Pages (VB script & Java script) or .NET. The role itself will
require you to give advice and recommendations to the client on technical
specifications, Design and review technical architecture and report project
status and issues.
