The School of Civil Engineering and Geosciences is seeking a web programmer/developer for the Real- time visualisation of a shared geo-spatial model (RVSGM) project. You will require excellent web development skills including Java, JSP, XML and RDBMS experience. A knowledge of Web Services Architecture and geospatial data handling would be beneficial as would be experience with GML, OGC WFS and WMS, EDXL and 3D data structures. The position involves liaising with collaborators and clients and the development of bespoke web services and related middleware. The post is available immediately for 2 years fixed term.
