Strategic Sales Account Manager - Getmapping Partnership
Over the past five years the Millennium Map has become established as the
de facto standard for aerial photography of Britain and through its online
sales of aerial image consumer products has become a household name. The
Millennium Map is now being re-flown by the Getmapping Partnership using a
large format digital camera, producing high-resolution colour and infrared
photography.
To capitalise on this new potential, the Getmapping Partnership has set up
a new Strategic Sales Team to manage national sales to major customers in
the public and private sectors. As part of the growth of this business,
there is now a requirement for a Strategic Sales Business Manager to join
the team. You will be responsible for personally managing accounts in the
local government and private sector.
This is a key sales role that will require you to identify how the
Millennium Map can be used to benefit both small and large organisations,
and then to work with those organisations to implement the sale. This is a
customer facing role and you will need excellent communications skills.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is intelligent,
hardworking, resourceful, persuasive, persevering and enthusiastic. You
ideally need to have experience/qualities and knowledge in one or more of
the following areas:
 a proven track record for sales preferably within the GI industry
 the local government sector
 the architects sector
 the utility sector
 the surveying sector
It would be beneficial to have one or more of the following:
 educated to degree or postgraduate level
 experienced user of GI or CAD software
 RIBA or RICS member
 at least 2 year work experience in the above areas
 a good knowledge of remote sensing or photogrammetry
 a passion for geographic information
 a good working knowledge of the GI industry
You must possess a driving licence and be willing to travel to customer
sites throughout the UK. The post will be based from our Hartley Wintney
office in Hampshire; it is a permanent full-time position starting
immediately.
This is an excellent opportunity for the right person to join an expanding
Sales Team in a proven but underdeveloped market. Salary is negotiable
within the range of £20-30k pa plus a sales related bonus scheme depending
upon qualifications and experience. Benefits include a car allowance and
pension scheme.
