ARTIST/PRACTITIONER-LED SESSIONS
ICT IN Art and Design
Artist Simon Blackmore will explore creative uses of ICT in schools and
colleges, including open-source software, robotics and 3D modeling.

SKILLS-LED SESSIONS
Dilemmas of Display
A session on caring for and displaying works of art at school or college led
by Ann French, Conservator (textiles) and Nicola Walker, conservator (works
on paper).

Insider's Guide to the Gallery
Ann French, Conservator (Textiles) will begin a series of talks on practical
issues associated with gallery exhibitions and displays. This session will
include the opportunity to explore the Gallery collection, with a focus on
textiles.

INTERDISCIPLINARY EDUCATORS DAYS
Cabinets of Curiosity
A theoretical and practical study that that uses the cabinet of curiosity as
a model for collecting and categorising, inspired by Mark Dion's exhibition,
'Bureau for the Study of Surrealism and its Legacy at The Manchester Museum.

Face Values: Facial Reconstruction
An exploration of 20th century portraiture culminating in a facial
reconstruction workshop led by staff from The Unit of Art in Medicine at The
University of Manchester.

Anatomy for beginners
An opportunity to gain an insight into medical illustration, by exploring
the basic principles of composing the human figure, examining muscle tone
and texture, movement and perspective. Led by staff from The Unit of Art in
