Hi,
this seems to be a problem relating to the fact that FSL is using
dynamically linked libraries rather than the statically linked libs that
Freesurfer is using. A quick fix is to re-set the TCLLIBPATH in your
.profile after you've sourced the freesurfer set up file. The following
fixed this for me:
######## Freesurfer stuff
export FREESURFER_HOME=/usr/local/freesurfer
export SUBJECTS_DIR=/Users/beckmann/freesurfer_data
source ${FREESURFER_HOME}/SetUpFreeSurfer.sh
### re-setting the tcl path!
export TCLLIBPATH=/usr/local/fsl/lib
######## FSL stuff
export FSLDIR=/usr/local/fsl
source $FSLDIR/etc/fslconf/fsl.sh
export FSLOUTPUTTYPE=NIFTI_GZ
hope this helps
