sarah
i think that is a little unfair.
behind the scenes we have been doing alot of work on the INSCRIPTION
website, the word lists are pretty good and sure they need updating this
is in hand ... indeed I did a review of the INSCRIPTION website which I
hope FISH will take forward this year. Also you must realise at the end
of the day FISH is voluntary there is only a certain amount of time for
attending members to do things.
Of cause FISH toolkit took away alot of FISH resources this year ... and
as there was the possibility of the Content management system for
developing wordlists and indeed maintaining them has the chance of being
developed .. any developments to INSCRIPTION took a backseat for a year.

What in the same way FISH maintain all the other INSCRIPTION
thesauri/wordlists!?!
Perhaps some information about the plans for planned thesauri
developments from the DSU would be useful in this discussion? From what
I understood the processes for maintaining and developing thesauri will
become more accessible in the future.

to my understanding it is delivered as is and there is no real intention
of maintaining it .. i think ed is right there no mechanism to update it
.. maybe FISH can ask BM if they would allow FISH to take on looking
after it or using it as a basis for a new thesaurus ?

I don't think it's that *no* amendments would be made, Liz. It's just
that (as yet) I'm not aware of the procedure for getting changes made
and revised versions out to users. This needs following up as an outcome
of our discussions.
