Paying for data entry might be solve the problem for all new development
generated entries.
Should curators be looking at a standard fee that needs to be paid to the
SMR to enter such data, either through recognition/requirement within
approved specifications and or a standard contribution through planning
obligations ?
This would require knowledge of the actual costs of entering data and
arriving at an average figure!
Perhaps this would then release current funding to and staff resources to
deal with backlogs ?
