You can submit a proposal for a session at the 2005 Developments in
Economics and Business Education (DEBE) Conference by completing the online
form at:
http://www.economicsnetwork.ac.uk/debe2005/submit.htm
The session can be a paper, workshop or poster, or a hybrid between a
presentation and workshop. Sessions should relate to one or more of the
conference themes of:
* Economics T&L projects (FDTL5, mini-projects, university-funded projects,
other)
* Pedagogical research in Economics
* Curriculum and context
* Assessment and monitoring
* Classroom practice and student engagement
* Games, experiments and simulations
* Student experiences
* Problem-based learning and case studies
* E-learning
* Research and teaching: complements or substitutes?
Paper sessions: can be either 20 or 40 minutes long (to include 5 or 10
minutes respectively for questions).
Workshop sessions: will be one hour long and place an emphasis on
discussion and group activities over presentation.
Hybrid sessions: can be either 40 minutes or one hour and will include both
presentation and workshop elements.
There will be a dedicated poster session on both days of the conference.
Detailed guidelines for poster production will be sent to those who have a
poster accepted.
Session proposals should be no longer than 250 words. The proposal should
include an outline of the session. The deadline for proposals is the 31st
May. Economics The Network will not accept late submissions.
