JISC INFOKIT: EFFECTIVE USE OF VLE’S
JISC InfoNet has launched its latest infoKit on 'The Effective Use of VLEs'.
The infoKit seeks to provide an online resource for all those involved in
the deployment of a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE); it may be used
individually by a tutor or by a staff developer who is supporting tutors to
get online through their institution's VLE. Sections of the infoKit will
also be of interest to administrators who support learners and/or tutors,
and to managers with responsibility for e-learning. A series of tailored
pathways take you through the sections relevant to your role.
The Effective Use of VLEs infoKit has been written as a series of sections
comprising in-depth resources and case studies drawn from both further and
higher education which emphasize the underpinning pedagogy in the use of
e-learning. Key readings and research have been synthesized and presented
in a practical and easy to navigate format with links to additional
resources for further exploration. These materials will continue to be
updated on a regular basis and will draw extensively upon ongoing research
especially that undertaken by the JISC.
The infoKit can be found at:
