ACDT Project Officer, Learning Technologies Group

Salary: £19,460 - £29,128
1 year contract in the first instance
The Academic Computing Development Team (ACDT) works collaboratively with
individuals and groups of academics to develop technology-based teaching and
research resources. The ACDT is part of the cross disciplinary Learning
Technologies Group (LTG), residing within Oxford University Computing
Services. For more information about ACDT see
http://www.oucs.ox.ac.uk/acdt/. We are looking to recruit a Project Officer
to work within our small team to develop new projects undertaken by ACDT,
and to assist with the overall planning of activities and the definition of
work plans for specific projects. Other duties include consultation with
academic collaborators and researching and writing short reports about
specific technologies. Applicants must have a degree or equivalent
experience. They must have practical experience in some of the following:
scripting languages, web site design, database management systems,
multimedia authoring tools, on-line learning, interface design, encoding
text, audio or video, interfacing databases to the web or systems analysis
and design. Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a
team will be required, together with the organizational ability necessary to
undertake and prioritise a variety of duties.
