Students with physical disabilities often find it difficult or impossible to
hold and manipulate large, heavy text-books. One strategy is to arrange for
essential text books to be re-bound into separate, smaller/lighter sections
and use comb or spiral binds to ensure the pages lie flat. Many local print
shops and book binding services are able to perform this task once you've
explained what you need them to do, but I wonder if anyone knows of a
trusted supplier who specialises in adapting text books for students with
physical disabilities?
