The Flow of Ideas
Criticalists: Glenn and Ruth Rikowski now have their own website which focuses
on education, library and information studies.
It is called The Flow of Ideas and it is at: <http://www.flowideas.co.uk/>
It includes a wide variety of information, such as details about our publications,
our talks, various events that we have been involved with and are currently
involved with, a Call for Authors etc. It is great that we are able to bring
all our work together in one place like this. There is also material on Marxist
educational theory, labour-power theory, the GATS and education and libraries
- and much more!
If you are forwarding information about The Flow of Ideas to others it would
be great if you could also include the following information in the body
of the email:
1. Ruth will be giving a talk about her book Globalisation, Information and
Libraries, at the Lucas Arms in Grays Inn Road. London, Tuesday 27th Sep
2005, at 7pm. All welcome. She will also be giving the same talk at Birkbeck
College, University of London on 8th December 2005.
2. The next Marxism and Education: Renewing Dialogues VII seminar is on 26th
October 2005, at the Insitute of Education, University of London. The theme
is: 'Education and Alliances for Social Change'. The seminar is free, but

and Glenn gave at the launch, and the introduction by Deian Hopkin, the Vice-Chancellor
of London South Bank University, are available on our website, under the
'Presentations' section. Available in Dial-Up and Broadband, but resolution
is better in BB.
