Philip Henderson at Treloar kindly donated two so she's up and running
again. She doesn't use SerialKeys - the T-TAM is a complete hardware
emulator - she connects her footskate with 8 switches into our CALL
interface, which generates RS232 GIDEI codes, and the T-TAM converts them
into Mac ADB keyboard and mouse commands. The ADB gets converted to USB via
an iMate. While we had the kit here I was testing it with PC's and found
that the PS2 mouse control didn't work, so I downloaded the free AAC Keys
software from http://www.aacinstitute.org/downloads/aackeys/AACKeys.html,
which works really well. So if anyone wants SerialKeys functionality for PC,
I'd recommend AAC Keys.

As you say Paul, a blast from the past.
In the early nineties we had a couple of T-TAM users at Hereward, I
wonder if they (that is, the T-TAMs) are gathering dust there now?
Wasn't Liberator/PRC the distributor? I wonder if they have any left?
I didn't think that the Mac still supported serialkeys - but maybe it's
an old Mac that she's using.

Hi all
Blast from the past:
I have been contacted by a client who uses a T-TAM to control her Mac,
via a foot-operated 8 switch coded interface that we built for her about
12 years ago. The T-TAM powers up OK, but does not send to either PC or
Mac. Has anyone got an old T-TAM lying around that they would be willing
to give away/sell? (I'll investigate the Mac serialkeys option but
another T-TAM would be much easier.)
Thanks
Paul
