Not sure about top speed, may be dependent on the system settings / screen
resolution (I assume you set the pointer speed in the control panel)...
However, the best/most flexible mouse driver (that may give you more
control) is (IMHO) Logitech MouseWare (should work with any mouse, not just
logitech):

I'm trying to increase the pointer speed on a joybox that is connected to
the joystick of a wheelchair. I have set the pointer movement speed to
maximum but I still don't think the pointer will be fast enough ( or
responsive enough). I was wondering if there was anything else I could to
improve this? Or does anyone know of any alternative equipment I could use.
