Hi Colin
We have had it comfirmed by SRS that the Sky+digital is IRDa. There
are also no 'blaster' sockets on this kind of box, only USB2.0 and an
RS232. We could take power from the USB, for a standard Red Eye,
but the SKy+Digital is only supported by the Serial Red Eye. Our idea
is to use the Serial Red-Eye and drive it via the Combination Interface
of the Pilot. Looking at the spec for the serial codes, on the Red Eye
website, it seems to be a case of simply configuring the Pilot 'serial'
menu options with digital equivalents of the hex codes tabulated there.
The problem is that I have absolutely no experience at all with the
Serial Red-Eye and I am looking for feedback before I buy one - cos I
am going to have to raise a cheque from our Finance Dept and that is
about as hard as getting a pay rise!!!
cheers
Jeremy
