Dear AllStat,
If we take the Poisson ~ and calculate the maximum likelihood estimate for lamdba as xbar, if we now wish to estimate for lambda, taking into account that Var(X) = lambda, another unbiased estimate. Does anyone have any idea what that estimate might look like?
Thanks in advance as always
