Dear colleagues
We are pleased to enclose a copy of the ECU response to the DTI consultation on the draft regulations relating to age discrimination. Thanks to those of you who have helped us with aspects of this.
We have not yet submitted this response to the DTI but we are very aware that the closing date for responses is in a week's time ie next Monday October 17. If you have time, could you look quickly over our response and let us know if we have omitted anything that you regard as crucial? Please feel free to pass this request to your colleagues in HR and to your union and staff representatives as well.
Robyn and I are keen to get this response onto our website as soon as we can as it may be helpful to those HEIs who have not yet completed their own response. We know how busy you all are but if you do have time to let us have any comments on crucial omissions then could you get back to us by Wednesday lunchtime this week.
With good wishes and thanks <<ECU response to DTI on age regs LS.doc>>
