Dear Colleagues,
With apologies for cross-posting.
Earlier this year ECU carried out a consultation exercise seeking institutional responses to various aspects of the forthcoming age discrimination legislation. We are grateful that many of you responded to the consultation, helping to create a meaningful picture of the 'state of the sector' and identifying the key challenges for the sector in preparing for the age equality legislation.
ECU has now published its report on the findings of its consultation exercise. You can read the report by following this link to the ECU website: <http://www.ecu.ac.uk/guidance/age/Age%20report.pdf>
The findings from the consultation exercise will inform the ECU's work in supporting the sector as it prepares for the age discrimination legislation over the forthcoming period.
The report is likely to be of interest to colleagues in Human Resources, Equality and Diversity, Registry/Academic Services, Staff Development and Occupational Health Services, and local branch trade union higher education (HE) Equality and Diversity Officers or Branch Secretaries.
With best wishes,
Liz Sutherland and Robyn Challis
