Mon 21 February, 5.30 pm "Language and Truth"
Mon 7 March, 5.30 pm "The Silent Voice"

Giorgio Pressburger was born in 1937 in Budapest. He left Hungary in
1956 and settled in Italy, where he worked as a film and theatre
director. From 1998 to 2002 he was Director of the Institute of
Italian Culture in Hungary. He is the author of The Law of White
Spaces which won the Independent Foreign Fiction Award in 1992,
Teeth and Spies (1994) and Snow and Guilt (2000) all published by
Granta. Other titles in Italian include: Il sussurro della grande
voce (1990), La coscienza sensibile (1992), L'orologio di Monaco
(2003), Sulla fede (2004)
