Peter,
I've just committed changes to AST which introduce some new
classes, including:
1) FluxFrame: This is a 1D Frame for describing flux systems at a single
fixed spectral position (specified via an attribute of the FluxFrame).
This will probably be of use for describing flux values in images.
It is also inteneded to be one of the components supplied to the
SpecFluxFrame constructor...
2) SpecFluxFrame: This is a 2D Frame for describing flux and spectral
position simultaneously. It extends CmpFrame and encapsulates a FluxFrame
and a SpecFrame. Useful for LINPLOT, SPLAT etc.
So far these class only support two flux systems:
- flux per unit wavelength
- flux per unit frequency
but will recognised and use any appropriate units for describing these
systems (W/m**2/Hz, Jy, mJy, etc). Requests for support for other systems
will be considered...
I've made some changes to kappa:linplot to support these new classes. Look
at kps1_lplfs.f as an example of how they can be used.
