This post forms part of an 18 month project called Discovering Shropshire's History, learning from our Landscape. The project will employ four staff to create a web based resource to improve access to Shropshire's historical and archaeological resources, including the county's Sites and Monuments record. The project is funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. The post is based at Shropshire Archives, located in the centre of Shrewsbury, and offers an exciting opportunity to interpret, explain and make accessible Shropshire's exceptional archaeological, historical and landscape heritage. This post will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project, including defining and planning a web based technical solution to deliver the project aims. You will have an understanding of web technologies as well as experience of project, staff and budget management, together with partnership working. You will be educated to degree level or equivalent, with exceptional IT skills as well as an interest in and enthusiasm for the subject areas of the project.
