Subject: Major Italian Forum events 2004-2005
Dear all, This is to let you know about the 3 major Italian Forum events
that will be taking place during this academic year, to which othes may well
be added:
Architecture, Gardens and the Medici dukes, a workshop on 10 December,
at the Whitworth Art Gallery (i.e. not in the usual Architecture and
Planning building), 1:30-5:30
Saints & Society, a workshop almost certainly devoted this year to a
Franciscan theme, on 4 March 2005, 1:30-5:30 (venue to be announced
Musifications: House to Museum in Italy, from 1500 to the present day
(an international conference on 22-23 April, at the Whitworth Art Gallery)
You will find full details on the December workshop and the April
conference already on our website (link copied to you below - please let me
know if there are any problems), the conference with a booking form and
other useful information. I would very much like to have a sense of how many
will be attending in December, so even if you are not required to pay the £3
or £6 fee, do let me know, even if you won't be turned away if you've not
done so! If you are at another institution and would eventually like a
poster for Musifications, do let me know; we will probably be sending them
out in January. Do pass news of these events to anyone who you think would
be interested. It would be lovely to see you there. With very best wishes,
Suzy Butters (Director, Italian Forum)
