Brian seemed to have this problem, too. I'm not too sure what the
cause is, but I can't sort it before the VOTech meeting. I think that
right now we should all be building the tree with docs suppressed, as
I've mentioned I'm doing.
If you create a file
/my-star/etc/config.site
(with /my-star being the installation prefix you chose) containing the
lines
# suppress HTML docs, unless they've been enabled explicitly
test -z "$with_stardocs" && with_stardocs=no
...then documentation will be suppressed except where it's been enabled
explicitly with --enable-stardocs
