medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
And how is keeping this capolavoro in a private collection a benefit
to anyone but the owner of the collection, regardless of where it may
be? Well, o.k., then the Lourvre should return all the paintings
Napoleon stole from Italy. While we're at it, the Elgin marbles
should go back to Athens. Ditto for the pillaged stuff that is in the
Alte Glyptoteck, Munich. And, I suppose I should return my Tonka to
Kathmandu, though I did pay a lot of money for it and the seller was
willing to accept payment. yrs, tom ault
