medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
With apologies for the consequences of cross-posting (to medieval-
religion, mediev-l, and medtext-l)
Dear Colleagues,
A 2005 Leeds session on authority and the transmission of doctrine in
religious communities of the later Middle Ages (not only monastic or
mendicant orders but also such other groups as the Waldensians or the
Lollards) now needs another 20-minute paper. Proposals, including a
brief abstract not to exceed 100 words and specifying any equipment
needs, should be sent directly to the International Medieval Congress
by e-mail at:
[log in to unmask]
or by Fax at:
+44 (113) 343-3616
(if you encounter difficulty with e-mail, please re-submit via Fax).
All proposals will be assessed as quickly as possible. As the 2005
Programme has not yet gone to the printer's, it is just possible that
prompt and cogent submission will lead to the sort of immortality that
only appearance in the Leeds IMC Programme book can confer. The dates
of the 2005 congress are 11-14 July; further information will be found
at:

With all best wishes,
John Dillon
