medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Rupescissa is impt becaise he may have played an impt role in the
jacquerie, which took place precisely during the time that R predicted
apocalyptic events wd occur (1356-60) and he was so virulent in
denouncing corruption in high places. i believe froissart mentions him
at the end of his acct of the jacquerie. don't have access to the text
right now, but if someone can check if memory serves me well.
