been there, done that, V.K., but would certainly be up for doing it again, on
your nickle.
in 1980 i helped my friend Terryl Kinder (now a citoyen-resident of Pontigny
and expert on all things Cistercian, art-wise) do a careful measured drawing
of that amazing choir (i held the end of the tape, tough work, but someone had
to do it) as part of her dissertation.
she pointed out St. Edme's box up there but i can't recall for certain whether
she said that he was still in it --i would assume that the Revolution would
have emptied it out, but it seems that she *did* speak of him as being still
with us ("There's St. Edme", or something of the sort).
