Data Manager
We invite applications for the following posts in the innovative ESRC
Research Group on Wellbeing in Developing Countries (WeD).
Research Manager
(Ref: 04/373) A vacancy has arisen for a Research Manager with
responsibility for managing the implementation of the WeD research
programme and co-ordinating communications between research partners in
the project countries (Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Peru and Thailand).
Applicants should hold at least a social science Masters degree and have
experience of carrying out and managing research in a developing country
context.
Salary range: £22,507 - £29,128 per annum depending on qualifications
and experience
Data Manager
(Ref: 04/374) The Data Manager will be responsible for managing existing
and designing new systems for entering, cleaning and storing both
quantitative and qualitative data. The successful applicant will
coordinate data management in the project countries and will liaise with
research teams in research instrument design, with regard to data
collection, entry and analysis. Applicants should have a good first
degree with a substantial computing component. Experience of working
with data on and generated in developing countries is desirable.
Salary range: £19,460 - £29,128 per annum depending on qualifications
and experience
The two posts are key for the functioning of the central WeD team and
are available for two years.
