Blended teaching strategies
Do you have experience of using a blended teaching strategy? If yes,
I
would like to hear from you. I am undertaking a survey of existing
practice in both distance and campus based universities around the
world. This will inform a book I am writing on online tutoring and
blended teaching strategies, to be published by Gower Publishing, late
2005. Your blended strategy might include the intended integration of
online technologies to enhance face to face contact with students, or
perhaps combine asynchronous discussion with synchronous tutorial
support. If you have an example of a strategy which didn't work, and
would like to share your experience, that may also be helpful for
others.
The questionnaire is deliberately brief, but please feel free to put
in
as much detail as you feel might be relevant for others, to a maximum
of
two A4 sheets. I reserve the right to edit contributions as
appropriate. The information you send will be fully attributed, and
there will be a complete list of all contributors.
Please email your reply direct to me: [log in to unmask]

November 2004.
