British Society for the History of Science Annual Meeting University of
Leeds, UK 15-17 July 2005
BSHS 2005 will be held at the University of Leeds, UK, in conjunction
with the International History, Philosophy and Science Teaching Group's
2005 Conference. Alongside plenary sessions by Harry Collins and Peter
Bowler, there will be joint sessions focusing on topics of interest to
both organizations, including "History of Science Education," "Science
Communication" and "Science and Religion in Teaching."
The BSHS programme will also include sessions on a wide variety of
additional topics: papers are invited on all areas of the history of
science, technology and medicine, in addition to those mentioned above.
Suggestions for themed sessions are particularly welcome.
Abstracts of papers (max. 250 words) should be sent to Dr Geoff Bunn,
BSHS Programme Secretary, Liverpool Hope University, Hope Park,
Liverpool L16 9JD, or [log in to unmask] . The deadline for abstract
submission is 31 January 2005.
